We purchased a lifetime warranty from this company 8 years ago. The belt broke on the opener. They came out and said it's just the belt and would cost $180 for the belt and it's not covered under our warranty. We said go ahead and replace it, then after doing that he said your motor is burned out to and a new motor starts at $1700 and goes up to $3200 depending on if you want wifi. He claimed they only use "professional" openers and that's why they are so expensive. He claimed the ones at home depot or Lowes are for DIYers and they won't hold up. We told him to take the belt off, re-tension the springs and we'll replace the opener ourselves. Then he tried to scare us by saying that if we get stuck trying to install it, it will cost $350 for him to come out to install it. This company should be ashamed of themselves for conducting business this way. For the record "professional" doesn't mean squat. Industrial or commercial grade on the other hand does, and I assure you that's not what he was showing us. I looked up an industrial grade opener from liftmaster and it's a beast and by the way costs $1300 not $1700. Avoid this company at all costs. You can purchase an opener with wifi and a camera from Lowes for $250 and they will install it for $169. I could keep going on with more this guy was saying, but I'm sure you get the picture.

Working in the garage this morning. While the garage door was closed I heard a pop and Saw the spring broken. Scheduled a repair the same day with Precision garage door. Tech came out within an hour and made repairs. Incredible! Thank you.

I ended up not using Precision based on my experience with their preliminary quote process. The service person quoted me 3 prices to replace the torsion springs, good, better, and best. $2900, $2600, and $1700. I have had many springs replaced in my lifetime and was shocked at this price. When I told the service person I wanted to get a second opinion he said he could call his boss to see if they could lower the price. RED FLAG #1 He called back and lowered the price to $800 RED FLAG #2 I thanked him and said I'd still like a second opinion and he said the $800 was only good that day. RED FLAG #3 I really do not trust companies that start with the high quote and if you question it they quote lower. I feel taken advantage of and quickly move on. The second opinion? The repair cost was $500 and was quoted on the phone before the repair was made by Jon McGrew Garage Doors. I recommend you call Jon.

We had to replace our 20 year old garage door opener, I called over to Precision door and they were able to send over a crew to inspect and price out all the work to be done with same day service , I was given a detailed breakdown of parts with different options and absolutely no pressure to buy! Jacob and Anthony were professional and did a great job . And answered all my questions! Also I will add the women that answered the phone was great and they send a photo of the techs who will come to your house! Great customer service “Precision “
